Renewal of the Stamp for a Permanent Residence Permit

Who does this apply to?

• Holders of a PERMANENT residence permit whose passport stamp is about to expire (does not apply to temporary permits, which are renewed through a normal application)

Requirements

• Valid passport
• Health insurance
• If the passport has expired: bring both the expired one and the new one

   Since Monday 24 November 2025 the office has been back in its renovated building at Prinsenstraat 90, Punda: the information desk and the issuing of residence titles (passport stamps) are there. The temporary location at Saliña 127 (Eurobuilding), used since September 2024, is no longer the Toelatingsorganisatie's address. The phone number is 733-2000; the old numbers 733-2080, 733-2081 and 733-2083 are no longer in use. Appointments to collect a passport stamp, proof of return, refund or final departure are booked through www.immigrationcur.org. 2. Appear in person with the documents to receive the new stamp.
   How to get this done

   Why this procedure is submitted in person (not online)

   Unlike most procedures (which are submitted by email), here you must be physically present, usually because a photo, fingerprint or signature is needed on the spot, or because the procedure requires personal identity verification. Go directly to the Toelatingsorganisatie counter with all your original documents.

   • Arrive early: these counter procedures are usually handled in order of arrival.
   • Bring cash or have your proof of payment ready: not every counter can process payments on the spot.

Important notes

• This is a simple stamp-renewal procedure, not a new residence application — it only applies if the underlying permit is already indefinite/permanent.
