Checking the status of an application

Who does this apply to?

• Any applicant who has already submitted an application and wants to know whether it was approved/denied or is still being processed

Requirements

• Application number (AVG. NR.) or FMSCRV number

Steps to apply

1. Look up the AVG or FMSCRV number in the public list published on the status page.
   How to get this done

   The AVG or FMSCRV number is the identifier of your case — it appears on the receipt you were given when you submitted your application. Look it up with that number in the public status list on the official page (dep/status).

2. If you submitted it through the online portal, check the status inside the account you created (it does not appear in the public list).
   How to get this done

   If your application was made through the online portal (not by email), the status does not appear in the general public list — you have to log in to the account you created on that same portal to see it.

3. If it says 'Approved/denied' (processed): book an appointment to collect the permit; read the decision letter under the heading 'afhandeling' to find out what to bring.

   Since Monday 24 November 2025 the office has been back in its renovated building at Prinsenstraat 90, Punda: the information desk and the issuing of residence titles (passport stamps) are there. The temporary location at Saliña 127 (Eurobuilding), used since September 2024, is no longer the Toelatingsorganisatie's address. The phone number is 733-2000; the old numbers 733-2080, 733-2081 and 733-2083 are no longer in use. Appointments to collect a passport stamp, proof of return, refund or final departure are booked through www.immigrationcur.org. Important notes

• The public list is long (hundreds of rows) and changes from period to period — it is no use for applications made through the online portal, only for those submitted by email or in person.

  If the Ministry does not decide, the court can order it to. Here an earlier ruling had already ordered it on an application pending since 2025, so the second appeal had no purpose left.
